Idea: Message in a Bottle

Users send messages out to “sea” (database) and once they do, a random one from a previous user “washes ashore” (gets printed out).

Once printed, the message is deleted from the database, and now only exists as a physical object.

Has some vulnerability/risk on my end, not being able to read/filter through the messages sent.

Big Takeaway:

Experience the courage and vulnerability in setting out an idea into the world not knowing who will receive it, or when.

The anonymity of leaving a message has an element of mystery

the user surrenders some control in who or when their message will be received, creating a feeling of vulnerability

Questions:

What would you say if you didn't know who was listening?

Will you receive the same energy you put out into the world?

What assumptions do you make about someone just reading a message of theirs?
